To conclude, by our being in the a priori attitude, we grasp ideas, essences. This includes the idea of space and the ideas of spatial figures, as well as the ideas about spatialities, which ideas themselves are not spatial. In real space, in nature, there is no idea of space, no idea of a triangle, etc. And likewise, in real time there is no idea of “time,” which itself is rather a non-temporal being, that is, precisely an idea. The essence-attitude, ultimately that of intuitive ideation, brings a new existence-free sphere to givenness; and in a certain sense it may indeed be characterized as the philosophical attitude.
